However, the more substantial (strapped) upper, stiff midsole and high coverage of rubber means the Scarpa Instinct VS does hold its size and shape considerably better than either of its namesakes. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn terms of rigidity the VS is certainly more akin to a lace up, so those who prefer soft shoes may prefer the Stix or Booster S. One big improvement lies in the full coverage heel cup - no more heel slips when torquing in horizontal breaks!
